Interests rates are rising. Houwzer’s General Manager of Home Services, Bob Griffith, was recently interviewed for a MarketWatch article titled “‘Inevitable, in the very near future.’ 4 economists and real estate pros on exactly when mortgage rates will hit 5%.” Along with other industry experts, Griffith explained that inflation is likely to trigger higher rates – and that we can likely see a 5% mortgage rate before the end of the year. The article notes that demand is likely to cool down, but homebuyers should still expect healthy competition.
