What makes a CEO most admired? The Philadelphia Business Journal has honored the Most Admired CEOs in the region since 2014.

Over the last three years, we have come to appreciate the tremendous talent in Greater Philadelphia C-suites – at companies and organizations of all sizes. An incredible amount of innovation and creativity is happening every day in the region.

In choosing the winners of the Most Admired CEO Awards, the editorial board of the Philadelphia Business Journal looks for evidence of true leadership – at the company, organization or firm and in the community. We considered accomplishments, leadership traits and community service in picking the honorees.

We think you’ll agree that our 20 winners this year embody excellent leadership. They provide a great example to their teams and to the larger community. The winners will be honored at the Most Admired CEO Awards black-tie dinner on Dec. 7 at the Ritz Carlton in Center City.

Congratulations to all of the 2017 Most Admired CEOs. You are truly an inspiration. The attached gallery presents the Most Admired CEOs in their own words.
